Now I understand: the homesite saves your money from thieves by spending them. I thought that the homesite will be like a bank account or a safe box.

In that case i will buy a new horse to spend my money.

Actually it is like a Medieval bank - in those times, the bank charged you just to store your money - in this case the charge is 25% of the value...

Charges 25% of the value and 5 days for each building's construction...

Maybe in here i could start to save white money for black days building my homesite (if i'd have so much money)... but in AE, I don't have the time to spend all that money on building it ... so I have chosen a beautiful black arab stallion to spend them.

...but when you have your black young stalion ..... you need to train him so you can get the prize at a tourney

....and at your homesite you have the choise to use the horse trainer so you can train your horse daily until it is finished

...... buy the when you have a horse and good weapons and armor ..... it is only fun to build up the homesite ....


on the other side if you want to change one day your nation you must be "free" for about 5 days.

And there is a change you could be robbed at that time and than you will loose a lot of silver but you can not loose your homesite

My problem started with changing nation, Barty. That's why I needed something to protect my money quick, during those 4 days. It would have taken too much time to spend all the money building my homesite, so I have chosen to spend them on a new and much better horse.

In a long term, homesite seems to be fun to build (when you have enough money) .

when you change the nation, you are 4 days protected from thiefs, so you can change without silver stolen, if you join the new nation right after the 4 days. By the side, selling a horse only gives you around 1/3 of the price, even with weapons you get 50%.

This was a good thing to know at that point. But, I don't regret choosing that horse.

I asked this earlier but I think it got lost in the shuffle. Is the homesite inheritable? That alone would make it worth it even without the theft save.... almost like a generational savings account representing the wealth of the bloodline.

You can not loose it .....no problem if you changed the Nation or if the shire is conquert.
No one else could get it in any way .... only your son ou your daughter...

It is a save heaven!
