A nervous giggle rose in Isabell's throat after Maleus had closed the door, a few things were the same everywhere. She remembered the parties of witnesses departing for the bedchamber with the happy couple on every wedding she had ever been to. A shaky smile spread over her face and she stepped closer to her husband. "You have to work on your wedding night? That is a shame.."
The drink coursing through her veins made it easier to overcome the butterflies in her stomach and she came close enough that their bodies almost touched.
Her eyes were wide and unafraid as she looked up into the Dane's face with a coy smile playing at the corners of her lips and her fingers trembled only the tiniest bit as she undid the lacings of the dress she wore. Only a few heartbeats later it fell to the ground and pooled at her feet, leaving her only with the thin undergarment. Her pulse beat quickly and she fidgeted, not quite sure what to do with her hands or how to go on.
