Far in the eastern part of the world Ansgar said godbye to his father, who just was waiting to welcome Father Death. It was a long time ago this man fled of his old life and found some peace in this part of the world.

Ansgars heart was heavy of some feeling of loosing something, but the new experiences which shall await this man enlightened him. So he took the road to the west, looking in a new dawn... May his become glorius as the run of his fathers sun was.

Travelling West was not as easy as he thought. The plains where not really settled, but as he his father told him about his life, Ansgar was following his steps by travelling this route. After meeting some merchants he knew that he was on the right road.

The First step on his way should be to enter the city of Jerusalem. Ansgar wanted to see the vincinity which gave him his family name.

For some time Ansgar now was in Jerusalem. It was hard for him. He could not call himself wealthy, so it was merely a beggars life he lived here. But it was a very good time for, considering that he wanted to find out something his fathers past. There have been many stories about him. Some considering him as a leader for good and some as the devil himself. It was hard to seperate mystery and legend from the truth. From an old Brother of a nearly vanished Brotherhood he learned a song which was sung in the Third Conclave in the past, refeerring to his father. Ansgar felt some proud raising in his chest. Beeing in the city where his fathers trial started and ended was more than interesting. This was the point in the wolrd where everything started.

One evening he opened the chest where some old things of his father where stored. Angsar looked at the seal and the signs of power his father wore decades ago. After a long prayer he knew what he has to do. If it was the will of God himself a new dawn for an nearly forgotten view of christianity should arise. It was Ansgars task to go that way.. or to vanish as his father did.

He was on his way.. after beeing weeks and months in the holy city of Jerusalem, the heritage of his name, Ansgar learnd a lot about his father, the way he lived and lead and failed. Ansgar found some brothers which where eager to go with him. It was an order which followed the nearly forgotten teaches of Ronin od Jerusalem, dedicated to the belief of the true faith, as Ronin himself called it.

With those men he now was heading to Rome by ship. To encounter the Cardinal Camerlengo Izajah. The one his father odered to pretend the chair in rome and to defend the Vatican nations, papal states as it is called in these times.

Ansgar looked on the two rings in his hand. One was an old ring, worn by the last emperor of the old roman empire of the west, the another was the ring of a pope with the family crest of the fanily of Jerusalem. These two rings now belong to Ansgar. The son of the last ruler and emperor of the western roman empire, the vatican empire as Petrus Secundus called it out. When it was true what people told about the papal states and the church, the nation of the vatican was not longer in the condition to be the center of any belief. The last one with power and respect, Cardinal Izajah was old and would die soon. Ansgar would enter the city.. and he would claim the rulership of the papal states to himself. As it seems by now, his heritage made to the only one who has the right and the duty to rule the papal states... whatever this may bring in the future... As Ronin always told his son.. God won´t tell us why he wants us to something. He just expects us to do so. Deus lo vult.

He thanked God. The long way on sea was nothing Ansgar wanted to experience again. He knew his father choosed a nordic name for his son and that this name promised some naval spirits.. but Ansgar just don´t posses them. If God wanted him to travel by sea he would have made him a fish or something else.

So he was more than grateful as he could leave the ship an set foot on the shores of Campania, one of the southern shires of the Papal States. The weeks of traveling gave him and his few followers some time. Time he learned more about the sort of christianity his father wanted to establish again. Of course Ansgar was raised in this belief and he was more than dedicated to it, but i was interesting to hear how the people experienced this at those days.

A week befor they where about to reach Campania the brother started to make a proper clothing for Ansgar. In their eyes he was the son of the great warrior for the true faith. The one who came back from outside the world to gather the forces of light, to lead them against darkness and to make satans legions flee.

So it happened that Ansgar left the ship in pure white clothes, only decorated with the crest of his family. And then it happened. The crest was recognized. After he entered the city and its great plaza first some muttering startet. Then the whole place fell in a deadly silence. This was the point Ansgar was afraid for. How would the people react to him..

Suddenly an old man approaches.. and spoke to him:
Who are you young man, that you dare to wear that crest? Who are to dare to appear here with brothers of an long vanished order? Who are, daring to remind the brave people of Campania of old times of glory, victory and unearable loss? Who in the name of God are you?
He spoke this words silent, but they boomed through the place like thunder.
Ansgar took breath:
I am Ansgar. The Crest i wear is the crest of my family. Given to me by birthright, as i am the son of Ronin of Jerusalem, also known as last and only Emperor and Pontifex Maximus of the so called Vatican Empire in the past. I am the son of the man which was choosen by god to lead christianity back to its origins, fighting against heretics even in its own rows. I am here to come home, to lead the brave people of the Papal States bak to their place in the world. I am here to continue where my father has failed. The true faith is back, and it will take back ist rightfull place, given it by god himself. When he was talking his voice get calm and raised in a deep warm tone. Ansgar felt the support of his father, looking down to him from the heaven.

Again.. silence.. nobody spoke a word.. Than the old man fell on his knees, crying.. holding Ansgars hand for support. Suddenly the brothers of the old order started an old song. Nearly forgotten, but as it started the crowd of people cheered and fell into it... The while city of Campania heard this old song:

With this cheering Ansgar began his march to Rome.. the eternal city.

Ansgar arrived at the eternal city. The people following him departed some time ago, feeling that something was going to happen in Rome with him. Something he had to do alone.

After they recognized who he was, the guards lead him the way he has to go... After a while he was in front of a great door he knocked three times....

Much has happened since Ansgar arrived Rome. He wa abled to success in his claim for the papal rulership. It seems that the people are more than hppy that the chuch has lost its majority meaning in the papal politics for an instance. Ansgar wondered when it was the last time that a ruler of this nation cared more about the people of the nation and not the system of lies and betrayal they called catholic church.

Actually he was reading a tabled which way brought to him by some people who cleaned up the fire Izahja made in the city.

Ah nice, exactly what i expected, Rulers who repeat holy word as it seems to fit them and their cause, without knowing the deeper sense or the misgarding the kontext. This deserves only one reaction.

Ahhh the husband of the weird Queen will try to become pope. Well.. perhaps i should at eat give him my best wishes...

A servant walking past the doors of Ansgars chamber only heard the laughter whi came out of this chamber the next minutes ...

After a long time of beeing unconscious Ansgar finally opened his eyes again. His servants and his office had been more than concerned about him. He simply dropped on day and nobody was abled to wake him again.

While becoming conscius again he remebered something which he experienced in his time of not living in the mortal plane. He was in wide green plaine, the grass there was big and soft. The sun was shining, and the wind was soft. He remembered the peace of this realm. He met his father there and saw him as a person he remembered out of his youth. Ronin was young and eager in this realm. He talked a long time with his son, showing him pictures and happenings of his life to his son. Ansgar lifed the while story. The beginning of Ronins journey as embassador of England in his young days, his time as grandmaster of an order which never was abled to take foot, his working as Cardinal and head of domini canes and the short time Ronin acted as Roman Imperator... And Ansgar listened to his father. He listened when he talked about the mistakes Ronin made, which leaded to his destruction and the destruction of the true faith at these days. This all was in Ansgars mind when he woke up and the servants started to chat to him...


After some time Ansgar was getting an overview about what happened, which developement have been made. Not fully aware of all hapenings he saw the greater plan of god. It would have been the same fault Ronin made in the past if Ansgar had hold the chair of the pope as regent. So that this new warrior of God he now heard about was voted to be pope by the vatican people was a decision of God himself. and Ansgar would accept this sign and decision.. But .. what he had learned of his father too was, that pope and ruler of the vatican must not be in one person. So he decides to act in two ways... One note he sent to the man which was chosen by God himself to be the head of the church Ansgars father started to buit up and Ansgar would build to the end...

He began to write his Answere to this Man, who knows so much more about the Roman Popes and the Belief.
He wanted him to be his Advisor in all clerical and secular Matters...
