Tourney "The bright future" in London      24.01.2012 11:50:34 --- 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Queen Elizabeth de Loraine of England has proclaimed a tourney "The bright future", to be held in London for young knights with experience of no more than 150.

We will welcome all young visitors, who would like to participate in our tourney. Competitions in duelling and jousting will be held, there will also be a melee. The winners will each be offered a purse with prize money. Every day of the Tournament will end with feasting, music and dancing.

So all young knights who would like to cross their weapons with England's new blood and young nobles in the tourney, come join us and be welcome.

Those belonging to nations friendly to England may come singly or in company per army as they choose, anyone belonging to a nation otherwise not friendly to England is welcome to participate on their own, but must leave armed troops behind.

You will find all further details of the tourney here

Already Bella had received several letters from foreign knights, who were interested in participating in the tourney in London. Bella, who once again had been reviewing reports from the treasury, rubbed her hands in glee at the thought of the entrance fees that might be expected from the participants of the tourney. Though to be fair, the prize of 50 silvercoins the Queen was offering to each of the victors was a very handsome sum for young knights.

Then, her thoughts turning in a more knightly direction, Bella mentally added: not to mention the honor and glory the participants might reap, through winning the competitions or even through their mere participation and the chance to cross weapons with the flower of young knighthood. The adoration and adulation of the crowds, the celebrations that would take place, ah, it promised to be a grand event. Certainly so for anyone, to whom, like Bella, this would be their first tourney.

In the meantime perhaps some show-fights might be arranged for the amusement of those, who had already arrived in London.

Moving with the army, James receive the news that Bella won the melee in a very convincing manner.

"Young knights would do better to listen her advices and try to learn her secrets! Our Chancellor it's a perfect example of training."

Broke after the long march, James took a moment to write a small note:

To Bella, Baroness of North Haven and Chancellor of England
QUOTE:
Dear Bella,

Congratulations for winning the melee! Keep it up and make me happy, I put all my money on you!

Best regards,
James

As it turned out Bella did win the duel round of the tourney, too. A not entirely surprising outcome, since she had had the most fighting experience of those young knights present at the tourney.

To all those knights who had participated in the tourney Bella addressed the following words:

"Thank you all, worthy knights, for taking part in our tourney and for making it a memorable event. I hope that you will hold these days in good memory.

Dear visitors from distant lands to London, I hope you enjoyed your stay and will continue to enjoy our hospitality as long as you will please and that we might at some future date have the chance to meet again for some similar event."
