Long live Castile! For ever!
In the year of our Lord, 1021 anno domini, after months of contestation the claim to the throne of Castile was ratified by the investiture of Symon Arezzo, Lord of Valladolid, as Imperator and King of Castile.
But the journey had been long, fraught with malcontents and discouragement and were it not for the unyielding efforts of El Campeador, Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, Lord of Burgos, the throne could easily have vanished from the annals of history, thereby forsaking the people of Castilla to roam fruitlessly from their blessed homeland.
Our entreaty now answered, it is the desire and the solemn duty of King Symon de Castile to bring peace, stability and prosperity to his people. To venerate and spread the teachings of the Blessed Virgin Mother and her son Jesus of Nazareth to the heathen Muslim and to begin the reconquista of Iberia in the hope of reclaiming lost lands that once belonged to the ancient forebears of Castilla.
Viva Castilla! Para siempre! Our destiny is unknown, but with each valiente caballero, with each brave knight that swears allegiance our future shines a little brighter.
Saludo to the Kings of Christ and long may good fortune be a visitor at your door.
