After one year of traveling from Jerusalem, Robert found his new brothers. They just won a glorious battle against Lithuanian and Polish Knights.
As soon as Robert has found Chancellor James, he kneeled to him.
My Lord
I`m Earl Robert of York. I`m back from the holy land . I`m from now on the yours and I will be a loyal servant to England. Hear my oath and let me stand at your side.
I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand . Till we have built Jerusalem in England.

James was really impressed: A true Crusader from the Holy Land.
Raised by monks in an old monastery, the only dream of James was to travel to Jerusalem as a squire of a Crusader.
So, this is how a Crusader looks like. The armor is not shinning anymore, wearing the mark of countless battles.
It wasn't any emotion in the voice of Robert de Craon saying the unusual oath, nor in his eyes like cold steel.
This man always speak the truth.
James feels the burden of the Chancellor rank right in the chest. He would like to put so many questions about the Holy Land to Robert, about glorious battles with pagans, instead he only reply
"We gladly welcome you, Earl Robert of York"
and bow before him.

Why are we fighting at this place? That's a good question. Last time we fought side by side with the ones we took now as enemies.
Strange are the ways of the politics, countless of alliances of treaties James is always afraid to not lose his way. Thankfully the King Maria Leszczynska it's a wise Monarch who was so kind to explain the things to James, preventing him to mistake. The Queen Elizabeth is not a forgiving person.
The Chancellor realize that Robert and other knights are waiting an answer.
"We respond to the call of our allies, Saxony. While we was camped in the no man's land between Poland and Saxony borders, Poland and allies attack our camp. Obviously they don't price to high England friendship if they do such a thing. Took by surprise, heavily outnumbered, we fought bravely but had to pull back. We are in war now, I guess."
It was the thing James tried to avoid most, but Poland actions leave him no other choice.

Thanks , me Lord.
So it is a question of honor, why we are here. This is the strongest shield, that can protect our lives, souls and homes.
Staying at the side of friends ,is the way we can reach Jerusalem in England.
Me Lord, I`m proud to be here.
Than Robert looks to the Warriors
For Honor, For England , for the future. May God save the Queen,England and our Souls

It seemed the escalation of the war at been averted at the last minute and leaders of the various armies had gone off to sign a peace treaty.
While Bella felt faintly regretful to have missed out on the action, she rejoiced for the owners of shires and fiefs on the contested borders, who had narrowly escaped seeing their cornfields and meadows turned into battlefields.
While fighting wars on foreign soil was all very well, it was no fun for the landowners caught in the warzone.
