I assume half the Known World already knows of my decision to end this war, whether it was me who was the source for this information or your own messengers. I also know a Synod was supposed to take place in Vidin prior to this war, event which was however postponed. Since the war is ending I assume it would be only natural that we begin the preparation for the Synod as well, in parallel with the peace negotiations, but I do not want us to rush and instead I advise his Eminence the Pope that we should first finish the peace negotiations and sign a peace treaty and only afterwards should we think of organizing and participating at the Synod.
