As you all know, we have did our best to avoid a massive war in the center of Europe, signing the Grand Peace Treaty of sixteen nations. Then, our ally - Kiev Rus, was treacherously attacked by joint forces of Rostov and Smolensk. We have did our best to help Kiev, but now, another treacherous attack is laid on our western borders by Saxony and other villains associated with them. They clearly want to destroy peace in Europe, and we all have to stop them. We would not ask for help of any of you, if we could manage to defend Europe by ourselves. We sincerely need your help in this war. We have to stop these warmongers, who clearly seek brutal entertainment in slaying Polish peasants.

If you are willing to defend the peace in Europe and teach the Holy Roman Empire a lesson they will not ever forget, please respond to this letter. We will then contact you with our generals to coordinate our moves, to end this war quickly, so no innocents will suffer.

A lot of rumours spread about an escalating wars with all participants or named nations in the first Balcan Peace Treaty being involved on different sides in this escalating Rostovian-Kievian war.

Although Poland was, as later by Protosebastos Smelgar explicitely stated and legally proven right, not part of that treaty, please be aware that any nation violating that treaty by attacking any other nation of that treaty will violate that contract.

In my humble opinion, attacks would be those against shires of any of the nations involved in that treaty. Defending other nations shires should be fine as well as attacking as long as the owner of that shire does not qualify to be named or a signee of the first Balcan Peace Contract. Also obviously if that shire had been free or belonging to another nation just recently before the ensuing battle, i.e. had been conquered just recently by a named nation or signee of that first Balcan Peace Contract, there obviously cannot be a casus belli as the attacking side could not possibly know that control of that shire had changed.

Better stick to that contract, else more participants will join and we would be forced to declare war upon that nation and leave our mercenary status.
