A small boat lands at the coast of Marseille. A messenger leaves it and hurries towards the next village, seeking someone who delivers the letter to the king of France.
QUOTE:
Knud den Store!
we met in Rome, and it wasn't very sincere. But that is not the reason for the swiss guard being here. The only reason is to make sure that the Mediterranean Sea stays free of pirates and other dangerous scum. We can not allow France to build ports, for we all know that your forces can not keep them secure. The swiss guard will land in Marseille, and we expect the port to be razed and the shire to be abandoned when we are there. If we find it intact, we will have to act a bit more... radical. You surely understand our point and give orders to deplete Marseille and the other parts of the coast.
Sincerely
Cardinal Camerlengo Izajah
Commander of the Swiss Guard
