As the words of War and anger raged in the courts of Eastern Europe and Western Asia one man finds he has come to stand near the crux of the conflict. Kneeling in prayer and meditate on the will of heaven, Janus Valerius is searching for a good note. One that speaks to the answers not the problems.
The Almighty which holds more wisdom than this one man could ever hope to have suddenly sparks Janus Valerius's mind. With hope and thankful joy he rises with a smile.
.......Glad Tidings of Great Joy for ALL men.....Yes, that must be the keynote. All men. Not One Tribe Faith or Nation!
And going to his scriptures he turns to the book of Luke, reading and rereading the following passages brings his efforts back to focus.
QUOTE:
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem (because he was of the house and lineage of David).
To be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, fear not for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying:
Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, let us now go even unto Bethlehem and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph and the babe lying in a manger.
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child
And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
*King James Version, Luke 2:1-20
With this passage in mind he begins writing his sermon for the acts of the courts of Moscow and the Eastern gentiles. God had made a
sacrifice for us all to be brought to him,
not a conflict. He brought hope and peace to ALL who sought it with honest heart and genuine Love. The doors of heaven are open for any who seek them with pure heart and Repentant souls. Maybe the religious fighting could end if these hopes were realized by all the warriors in this chaos.
Bring the Faith with sacrifice, and not bloodshed. Open any mans heart and they can redeem their soul! Hope was Christ's offering! Today Janus Valerius would need all the hope heaven offered...and a measure of God's Infinite Grace. Maybe the Excommunicated even could be returned to God's salvation. The candels burned
very low in his chambers that evening.

*This is NOT a religious sales pitch..but I do invite others to post segments of Words To The Faithful.
ANY religion....in this thread so their religions may be slightly better understood
AND RP'd Appropriately.
I see this as a multi-faith sermon posting..TIED TO CHARACTER ACTS IN THE GAME! In future I will attempt posts no longer than a chapter of
Janus Valerius Catholic Scriptures. And will try to push RP to the sorts of
sermons this (currently) Bishop of Armenia and Legate of the Holy Roman Vatican would have for his flock during the events of his life.
Todays was an introduction as well with the Day in RL being Christmas by the Gregorian Calendar....Merry Christmas all!
Pardon if my post offends but it IS in the characters thoughts within his current RP. Try me as another religion some day!
---And Yes, I know this version of the Bible wasn't in his hands really...but i don't want plagiarism fights!
