As you may have noticed, we are at war again. This is very unfortunate as I planned my wedding with the King of Duklja for a long time. I can't seem to get a itle pause from my Royal Duties for a simple wedding. So I canot guarantee to attend your little peace turney as somebody cried "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war....

You can expect our fleet in next few weeks. It will be honour for us fight in Tournament with such great warriors like Sweden Vikings.

Bengt stood in front of a hugh group of warriors. He noticed the different coloured ensign surcoats of the attandent nations. The white and red of Poland, the dark red of Norway and the deep blue of Sweden.
Bengt claimed a pedestal that was decorated with the royal symbols of Sweden, the crown and the lion. Than he spoke to the man:

"Warriors of Poland, Norway and Sweden,
in the name of my famous lord, Dietrich den Uxi, I, Bengt Magnusson, huscarl and warlord of sweden, am honoured to welcome you to our country and to open this turney of friendship.
Let´s start with weeks of celebration and, of course, proofe our fighting skills. I hope to see some spectacular fights for i know the remarkable abilities of the polish and norwegian man at arms.
So don´t let us wast so much words. The showfights will start soon. Konungr Dietrich will take care for your your supply, needless to say."

The warriors coupled there weapons and spreaded out.

Limping from the field and holding bloody hand to his fore head Vakr slumped onto a wooden bench and settled in to watch the rest of the tourny.

"Mead? I need mead. Well fought Hakon Thoralfson!"

Sigurd Haakonsson realized that he was the only Norwegian that had lost in the first round of the duel. But then he had also met a terrifying opponent in his own huskjarl Isolde.

He went by the Norwegian norsemen and congratulated Soeren to the victory in the melee.

Sigurd had urgent business to take care of in Norway, so he went by the chambers of the Swedish Konungr Dietrich den Uxi and the Swedish huscarl Bengt Magnussion to pay his respect before he returned to Norway.

Dietrich had just returned from the arena. Though the fight with Eriliar Mandredson had been hard he was glad that this time the damages on his armour weren't so big the costs of repair could feed the family of the armoursmith for an entire month.

He sat down on his throne watching the crowd cheering and gambling while Bengt announced the constellations of the next fight.
In this moment the Thane of Norway entered the scene a little disgruntled by his badluck but nevertheless obviously proud of the grand fighting his warriors had done here.
The Swedish Konungr was glad he hadn't been his enemy for the strikes of this man could chop trees.

Well Thane of Norway it saddens me to bid you farewell already but your duty calls and I know this allows no hesitating. You may travel through the Swedish lands with a group of my choosen guards for your men still have buisness in winning this turney without any real endeavour. Still the best warriors I know.

He raised his shimmering black drinking horn.

A toast to grand Thane of Norway and to his health. Glory to his people death to his foes!

The Konungr stroke the blade of his fellow axe.
You can not imagine how I long to stand beside your men in battle. There is nothing Oden would appreciate more to see.

Pawel Wisniowiecki returned to his tent and took off the shredded leather armor he bought for the occassion of his first tourney. The last thing he remembered from his first (and last) fight was the sight of the beautiful lady whiskey putting on her helmet and giving him a short gaze of her mysterious eyes just before they started fighting.
So amazed was he at this sight, that only after receiving many blows to the head has the young knight started to fight back. This was of course too late to make any difference, however he felt that the lady's skill was so overwhelming that even with full alertness he could not win.
Not to mention trying to battle the image of the lady's beauty in his head and the lady's sword in front of him at the same time. This was just too much for the young lad.
-"Damn the heavens! Beaten by a woman on my first trourney!" he said while throwing his spear in the corner of the tent angrily.
-"Still there is much I need to learn. Then again the other knights said it's not a dishonour to loose to such a renowned and beautiful lady. But damn how I wished I could prove them wrong! Next time I shall not be so easily beaten!" Soon after calming down he rejoiced. As the time of the evening feast was coming fast, he ordered his servants to get his armour repaired and prepared for a night of festivities.

After Sigurd had said farewell to the Swedish Konungr he prepared for departure. Just before leaving, he took an extra turn over to the Polish tents where he could see a group of knights preparing for the next round of the turney. Although the Polish were not friends of the Norwegians, he approached them unarmed and with a smile on his face:

"Brave knights, I congratulate you to your efforts in the turney. Some of my Norsemen are the best you can meet in a turney, so even if you do not beat them you will learn a lot. I cannot see your king around here, so I do not know who to approach. But I would like to invite you to the upcoming turney at our castle in Norway to which you can travel directly from here. Your presence would be highly appreciated and we will of course supply you with both food and mead. You need to send a messenger in advance to notify about your arrival so I can inform the Norsemen in our boarder regions that you are coming for a turney."

After hearing the King's words Pawel Wisniowiecki (seeing the confusion among the Polish knights) quickly went down on one knee and responded:

-Your highness thank you for your kind words! Indeed duelling your knights have proven that we have yet a lot to learn. Nevertheless we would gladly cross swords with Europe's finest once again. We shall eagerly depart for the tourney in Telemark and I shall pesonally make sure a messenger reaches Telemark in time to confirm our arrival. Forgive me for adressing you personally as I am just a humble knight, however our chancellors quickly left the tourney grounds chasing urgent state affairs and we have no worthy representation.
