Dueling is a very important aspect in this game.
It is with duels your knight will get Experience Points (EP).
And when your knight has aquired his weapon and armor, your knight has to duel to keep his weapon and armor skills at an high level.
With more EP and high weapon/armor skills, the more damage your knight does... that is a good thing...at least from your point of view.
So the moral is: DUEL-DUEL-DUEL!

It doesnt matter that your knight looses the duels in the beginning; the main thing is that the knight gets experience. It is with losing Vitality Points (VP) your knight gains experience.
When losing a 40 VP duel = +1 Experience Point
When losing a 70 VP duel = +2 Experience Points
When losing a 100 VP duel = +4 Experience Points
When losing a 130 VP duel = +5 Experience Points
When losing a 160 VP duel = +7 Experience Points

But remember: Never duel with less than 40 VP

also you can get silver by dueling , winner gets more

And you recive silver for showfights (the count of a shire can proclaim one from nation chests money) - that are duells with at least 100 VP on a specific shire. (25 Silver are possible for the winner)

And you recive silver when you are in a army thats conquers an enemy field with buildings or fiefdoms on it. (All plundered silver is divided between all attacking knights (of the winning army) equaly - could also be 20 silver or even more )

Also you can get some silver by quests (that other knights can give you) not much but 5 silver are possible (paid by the questgiver)

ANNNNDDD you can sell ressources from your fiefdom (e.q. Trade)

that should be everything

But your most money will be paid by your fiefdome in the long run so its usefull to build it up ^^

As well as earning silver from your own Fief, if you happen to be a Count with responsibility for managing a Shire does this provide some extra income, or just extra responsibility?
