Formal Protest 18.07.2010 00:34:23 --- 1 Year, 6 Months ago

QUOTE: To Gregory I of England,
Your majesty. I write to you this day to protest your recent actions on several fronts, on the first your attack on the Order of the Temple which led to you allowing a leader whom you had pledged to follow to war to be captured by her enemies. Your bitterness over past acts has blinded you to the political realities of the day and this is a true tragedy.
Now, additionally to all of that you no longer even feel the need to make formal declarations of war when attacking our Neighbor to the south Castille. I ask that you consider your courses of action very carefully as you seem intent on driving even those who would be England's friends into league with her enemies. For indeed, for a man who would claim to be upholding the faith, I fear your actions have much in kind with that which you accuse your enemies.
I beseech your majesty to remember that if we defeat our enemies only by becoming them, then we have served neither God, nor our people well.

QUOTE:
To the rulers of Europe,
This, the 25 day of June, in the year of Our Lord 1023, the Kingdom of Spain hereby severs all diplomatic relations with the heretic Gregory I and the nation of England. It saddens me to be moved to this action towards the nation of my birth, however I cannot ignore the actions of Gregory against Christian nations any longer; nor his heresy of the most horrid variety.
England is a proud of noble land, it is truly unfortunate that it has become infected with his madness. It is my hope that in future days trust may again bloom between us, but I fear that is impossible at the present time. Iberia is now closed to you, the return of your armies and/or your continued occupation of Castillian lands will be considered an act of war upon Spain itself.

Gregory read the missive and felt the words like stones don't reach him.
"Charles Hart is picking well the moment to attack England. I bet Lith and their friends enjoy the fact English troops won't bother them anymore.. I must inform my friend Locke about this treachery!"
To Bey Locke of Moors:
QUOTE: Locke, my dear friend
I'm sorry we was not able to help you, but we had to respond to Ireland request.
You are well?
Here is a copy of charles hart declaration against England, so called "El Rey" (good joke, isn't it?) just made.
See for yourself who we defended, myself standing against mighty Pamplona and you against Imazighen..
Not a single good deed without reward, isn't it?
We should do something about this, please let me know what do you think about it.
Friendly yours,
Gregory

QUOTE: "King of England,
King of Spain,
King of Castille,
King of the Moors,
It is for the kindness, and age of Castile from the Andulsian war that I let them push me this long. It is for this reason I am putting my foot down. My patience has worn thin!
Neither Spain, Castille, Moors, or England has my permission to attack the other. The first that does is in breech of treaty and friendship. I request now Spain return their dip to friendly, allowing any English to pass by in peace. With the fore knowledge Ireland will drop everything if they have to and come fight down there. Greg I request all your armies return home, or to battles in the North. Charles I request you pass this on to Castille in hopes they are wise enough not to try my patience more!
Finally at the conclusion of my war in the North. I will personally attend to this matter of the shires on the Peninsula. I will personally aide in overseeing a competition of sea battles between the three nations over the official ownership of the lands that are currently under Irish interest! Since Spain and Castille will not aid our efforts in the North. I now take back my decision. Gregory and England may hold on to the Silver shire to help in funding their parts in this war.
Any of the four nations who so decide to deny me this. Shall officially be deciding to loose a friend and ally. As well as earning my wrath, and desire to completely destroy them. Understood?
Pissy,
Molly Cumhaill
Banrion of Ayre!"

To Queen Molly Cumhaill of Ireland:
QUOTE: Dear Queen of Ireland,
You mistake England with your vassals, to be told what shires they can take and what to do with their armies.
I inform you that any of the England's shires are not negotiable and we will defend our land if need it.
Also we do with our armies what we want and our armies are not Irish armies that you possibly command.
Since this is not the way you treat an ally, we consider we are not bond by our word given to Ireland as allies anymore.
Have a good day and Farewell,
Gregory, King of England

QUOTE: King of England,
It is a fool who allows his anger and pride to interfere in wisdom. Perhaps you forget yourself upon your own pride. It is for this I shall forgive your letter for now, and give you first time to consider the full situation that you have personally caused for me just for your name.
Recall for a moment how I sacrificed my own good name for you. I have bent over backwards loosing ally and friends to maintain my friendship with you. I have defended you even when I knew you were doing wrong. I spent time in jail for your own distractions. Ireland's population drastically fell just for your pride.
Still as your friend I know your temper, especially when insulted, but care enough to remind you how foolish it is to take on the entire world alone. You have upset many of the largest and most powerful nations, and I still defended you. Finally things have come to this point. This same point we have visited before. Where you dare insult me, for my efforts to maintain strength.
You toss away Ireland as if she was never important. I ask you with out the Irish who will stand by you against the many? My friend I know you are wiser than this, and so are they. You are giving them exactly what they hope for. You are sacrificing your true strength for your pride.
My demands for respect of a friend still remain. I will give you two days or first act to reconsider. Remember it is not yours what you stole. Only that I have allowed you to remain for so long with out reminder, and for not wanting a war with brothers. Will you really allow your pride to have you face the world alone?
Ticked off,
Molly Cumhaill
Banrion of Ayre."

To Molly Cumhaill, Banrion of Ireland.
QUOTE: Majesty,
Castile has no interest in making an enemy of Ireland. Alas, we cannot recognize your presumed hegemony over the lands of the Iberian Peninsula. Your belief that the Kingdoms of Spain, Castile and Leon are mere agents to act at your whimsical behest is in itself prideful and void of wisdom.
As for your concern about Castile not offering to help in your Northern War, even the most blind of beggars could see these past months have kept us occupied defending our homeland from your friend and ally the English King, whom despicably assaulted us without declaration. That you believe it is Castile, and not England, that has pushed you for too long in this matter casts aspersions on the honor and nobility of our knights and this will not be soon forgotten.
The lands of Iberia will be ruled by Iberian kings, not some foreign tyrant excommunicated by our Holy Father in Rome for his prolonged transgressions against god-fearing Christians.
We hope future relations between Ireland and Castile - indeed, all the Kingdoms of Iberia - will continue to prosper.
Respectfully,
Symon de Castile, King.
To the Wise and Honorable Charles Hart, Rey de Espania.
QUOTE: Greetings Good King Charles,
The Kingdoms of Castile and Spain are as brothers born from the same mother. We pledge ourselves to the protection of your sovereign rule, and to the sovereignty of all Iberian Kings.
Viva Espania, viva Castilla, viva Leon.

QUOTE: "King of Castille,
I do not know who you think you are to believe you have power over Leon and Ireland, bond by legal contract, and Spain who has long been a sibling of Ireland's! All I can think is so much for Charles's defense of your mannerisms. It is for this reason I now warn you not to keep trying my patience, or you will have more than my former brother of England to deal with! Do not tempt me to return down to war there again! It is because of the Irish Leon still survives, and their would be aggressors Andulsia does not. The Irish were established there, on the very lands that you stole, long before your castle was even claimed. Do not push me sire, or I will give you a real reason to need a thumb on which to suckle.
Annoyed,
Molly Cumhaill
Banrion of Ayre."

QUOTE:
Molly Banrion of Ireland, Symon King of Castille,
In the first particular I would like to thank Molly for her attempts to broker a deal between myself and Gregory for I know her interests here are like anyone seeing two friends come to blows: it is not comfortable or wanted.
However, issues of Iberia are not yours to rule on they are for the Nations of Iberia to discuss and while I would be happy to have you help hammer out a peace you will not parcel out land there as if you own it. That is not seemly behavior for a friend or an ally. Kindly treat us as you would be treated and we shall respond accordingly. In response to your earlier messages, since Spain's contribution to your war is not appreciated or recognized by your Majesty... I will bring my soldiers home and consider their mission over. You may assume responsibility for maintaining that which they guarded from now on.
The King of Castille was most gracious just now, and I am dismayed by your threats towards him and the way you slap at the hand of partnership he generously extended while defending himself from charges you lay before him.
Should the King of England wish to shatter his armies against our spears we shall greet him in kind, as is our right. And should the nations of Iberia wish to throw out an invader... this too is our right. Our friends and partners may expect better treatment as friends and guests should they behave that way and by agreement certain lands may be in question that were occupied by Ireland before the Andalusian conflict.. As you yourself say, however, they were not party to such agreements for they had not yet emerged as a Nation; thus cannot be held responsible for that which they had no true knowledge of, and that which you never chose to take back. Your words, however, are not the proper manner in which to settle this dispute.
Castille and Spain are united, an attack on one is an attack on both. Those are much similar words to ones you spoke to me once yourself Banrion. Good King Symon is a more constant friend that the fallen Pope could ever be as you well now know, I ask that you treat him as such and we move forward on our course to the future together with the focus on a spirit of partnership.
