Hi how many is the maximum milita for defense a shire?

Their number vary from 11 to 14. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Extended militia can go up to 24.

My belief is: - The number of militia and extended militia vary in the same range. - Up to 27 or 28 in normal circumstances. - With a show fight in the shire, can be more (or perhaps they're just stronger, but I seem to remember seeing 38) I'll bet Kokoon knows the exact answers...

i never seen 27 militia (but is very possible) - i`ve seen 17 militia, 23-24 elite militia ... as far as i know upgrading militia don`t have influence on number, just quality VIKING Winter is coming !

The german help says that militia iincreases the number of the defending peasants up to 30.

Without militia I once saw 18 peasants, when I remember it right.

Hmm, I think show fights don´t increase the number of peasents or militia.

I think I saw 18 peasants too, even in more than one battle. Knowing the game developers attraction for round numbers we can assume it can be 20 peasants / 30 militia in a shire. The number cannot be increased by upgrade militia or show fights.

This is a battle that took place recently and this is the militia battle at field Poitou-Saintonge - field-no: 48 (militia - - - - - - ) defender: 24 Ireland offender: 19 Brittany battle at field Calvados - field-no: 40 (militia - - - - - - ) defender: 27 Ireland offender: 19 Brittany So it does go up to 27 like Smelgar said
