First let me express my appreciation for your persistence and patience in your efforts, and admittedly Norway's lack of interest in this process has not helped.

A paragraph equivalent to Ireland is acceptable for us, i.e. that "our side" can defend Norway on Norwegian soil, and you can defend Ireland on Irish soil. That is anyway what we would expect from our friends after our efforts in this war.

Let me clarify that Norway is not against peace, it is just not our war, and we do not see a reason to sign a peace of paper where history tells us that it will be broken anyway. Nonetheless, we will respect the requests from our allies if they sign a peace treaty.
