Nobody will know what happened that day, except his younger brother Waldemar. Nobody will know how his father died, nor why.
Maybe, some day Gerard will tell that story, but not yet.

He is now back from pilgrimage, the first and his last one.

Now Count of Calvados, and a vassal to the King of France, Gerard will have to protect his country and his King with life and honor.

That was his Father last wish.
