Guantanamo Bay Prison is serving Lasagne as I hear. But first you have to be a "terrorist" (either a real terrorist or a political enemy) to go there.

I think they are served by the Italians (up north) as the Pope just can't get the recipe so I've heard...

Finally some people who take things very seriously.....

But honestly, our language has changed not only because we use phrases that include modern technology like "radar" but we simply use them without thinking. Some of this technology has become so "normal" that we do not realise anymore how awesome it is. We take it for granted. So this is reflected in our todays language. I am certainly not going to check my language for historical consistency as nobody here speaks old high German, Old High English and whatever else old language there was either.

Although I had to smile, when thinking about the radar screen, I am not at all embarrassed about this as this is today's language which is very well understood in its meaning with all its metaphorical pictures. To get information across, you use language and although language was different those days, I doubt that anybody here would be capable of understanding old English or old German, whether they are English or German does not matter.

But then as a P6P rolegaming, everybody has a different opinion how the game should be played. It's all a matter of tatse.

Btw, I prefer taglierini porcini :-D

Dorenn I'm happy to see you posting here. Of course we all know that you used this radar screen not because of incompetence, but rather out of haste. Of course we shall not speak ye olde English, and do not post diplomatic mail in latin, and using rather modern English is fine. But I think we both agree, that this radar screen was rather unfortunate incident, not something players wanting some RP would like to read .

I will explain my point of view. I knew there was coffee in Europe did not exist at this time. When I wrote this, there should be only a general phrase. That the two knights are treated well. Had I known what this suggests for waves here, and some are so sensitive, I had not written the sentence as written, and instead of coffee, beer or wine. But ok. In the future I will take on the sensitive persons of consideration.

I once read a historical novel about some knight and the piper of Hamelin.
The description of medieval life was very vivid and I liked it.
But at some point the author became lazy and the knight started excessively
eating potatoes, drinking coffee and dealt with not time fitting rats
(norwegicus instead of rattus) in the kitchen all in the same paragraph.
If you use it carefully an anachronism can be a nice v-effect and even make the story more interesting.
If you've got ten anachronisms in a single paragraph it may spoil the medieval context a little.
So please don't use anachronisms too often otherwise I am fine with the occasional anachronism
voluntarily or accidentally used.

To be honest i dont see point in this topic nor anyone's reply on this topic...

I dont think that any of this examples you pointed out Maria was done deliberately, but in rush. And I agree with someone who said that this topic isnt made to help players but to humiliate those that made mistakes... since only thing i see is flaming...
