i`m very curious ... if 3 or more nations armies, all of them being enemies to each-other, meet in same seafield ... what will happend ? let`s say all of them set "search and destroy" as their status

As far as I have understood this seafight mechanism, one of the three nations will be chosen as "owner of the sea field" and thus being fought by any other army of a nation with "fight" in the diplo-settings towards the "owner of the seafield"-nation. So the two other nations will fight together as attackers of the seafield, although they are enemies.

I hope I got it right.

hmmm ... so a random army will be destroyed if they don`t manage to run .... but how the chances to fight or to run will be calculated ?

anyway the sistem is not clear ... even for 2 enemies is not very clear:

QUOTE:
The chance to fight in the battle depends on the seafight setting of the army leader.
The chance is 93%, 65,5% or 38% increased by 1% for every army at this field.

Now it seems a little more complicated than that , because for a seabattle should be 2 armies involved, my army and an enemy army ... I can set my army status but i think the chance for a battle is also determinated bu enemy army status ...

Soooooo - if i set "avoid" status for my army, and enemy army had set "no matter" the chance to have a battle would be [38% (from me) + 65.5% (from enemy)] / 2=51.75 (an arithmetical medium)? or would be 38%*65.5%=24.89 % (as used in probability theory) ?

If we come with 3 or more armies it would be much more tricky ...

The nation with the most knights on the sea field is stated as the owner of the sea field.
If armies of other nations on the same field will attack or defend depends on the diplomatic state with the field owner.

QUOTE:
The chance to fight in the battle depends on the seafight setting of the army leader.
The chance is 93%, 65,5% or 38% increased by 1% for every army at this field.

The news are not up to date.

This should be right:
QUOTE:
The chance to fight in the battle depends on the seafight setting of the army leader.
The chance is 95%, 67,5% or 40%.

The second part "increased by 1% for every army at this field" was deleted.
http://ritterheere.de/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,181/func,view/id,458027/catid,2/limit,10/limitstart,120/

The fight chance is calculated separately for each army.

For example:
Nation A has one army on the sea field with 95% fight chance.
Nation B has two armies on the sea field, each with 40% fight chance.

If one of the armies from nation B flees ( each army with 60% flee chance ); and the other army from nation B and the army from Nation A stay on the battle field, then there will be a fight between one army from nation B and nation A.

If the army from nation A flees ( 5% flee chance ), then there will be no fight.

Consider the case where there are three nations, A, B and C, all hostile to each where A is the sea field owner, and:
- A flees
- B and C stay

It seems there will be no fight, since the owner is not present?

Yup. Only the diplo towards the owner counts.

So the owner is calculated BEFORE it is decided who stays and who goes.

This seems backwards: surely it would be better (or at least, more violent) if the owner were the largest army that stays (rather than flees)?

Owner is always biggest army, it is already set in scoring before battle takes place (can be seen under moving-map).

i`m still very interested in the calculation sistem - arithmetic average or probability theory sistem ?

Also another questions :
Let`s say army A is in field A000, army B in field B000, both have "enemy" settings towards each-other, if there is an owner of each field (A, respectively do we have also the blocking rule regarding neighboring sealands? Do we have the blocking rule regarding neighbouring shires on land ? If army A set the move toward field B000 and army B go to field A000 same scoring - both will move or one of them move and the other is "blocked" and will be a fight ?

It's more like throwing dice than arithmetic or probability:
Army A (owner of the seafeld) throw dice = fight or no fight
Army B ..
The armies who did not fled will fight if the owner of the field is still on the battlefield, with or against them.

Only one army will move, ensuring the battle will take place.
