To English ruler!
English army, England pride ambushed Aragonese shire Guyenne /53/.
I ask England for explanation of this treacherous agression without declaration of war.
I ask England for disbanding their army and immediate retreat of their units.
And finaly I ask England for apologies for this attack and for payment of damage compensations.

James is in a good mood after drinking some wine mixed with honey from Guyenne.
He read with difficulty the demanding message from the regent of Aragon.

When the Swiss guard arrived near the gates Barcelona, on it's way to the wedding in Castille, it was met with suspicion and an hostile attitude towards foreigners. As soon as this became clear, Abel send out some of the scouts of the army to their favourite location, the tavern, to gain some intel on what was the cause of this unfriendly attitude. From a nation who had often been kind to the Papal States.
Soon the scouts returned with the news that Guyenne had fell into English hands. Abel quickly decided to write a letter to them.
QUOTE: To James, Duke of Kent, Chancellor of England
My scouts tell me the hostile attitude towards foreigners in Barcelona is caused by the captured of Guyenne by the English armies. English armies that are on their way to a wedding in Castille?
If these rumours are false and there is some other reason for this hostile attitude, then I apologize for the time spent and we will share a fine glass of Campanian wine at the wedding. Perhaps right after dueling in the joust?
However if these rumours are to be true, and you have indeed seized Guyenne for England, I would like to ask you how you were planning to attend this wedding without causing further damage to Aragon, Castille, England and the wedding of King Borna of Croatia. I am aware now that England has crawled back up from a difficult time, but is this the best way to celebrate that joy?
If England is planning to seize any more land of Aragon, just let us know and be aware that the Papal States will be assisting Aragon.
Either way, we will be meeting soon.
In kind regards,
Abel Syarco

QUOTE: To Abel Syarco, leader of Papal States
I wonder where Your Highness was crawling when Charles the Butcher of Aragon invaded England.
We weren't at home at that time, most of the English knights returning from a long campaign.
He took down almost all England's shires, transforming our beautiful country into a ruin, until Queen Lilith form an army of younger knights and stop him.
Your misplaced interference raise again a big question mark about Swiss guard actions under your leadership. Maybe it's time the catholic nations to take action and bring some sense to Vatican as well as a rightful pope to lead the church and the Papal States.

QUOTE: To aragonese,
Of course we use englishmen to raid your lands, what you expect, to use spanish rogues??
You prove that your intelligence is no higher than a bug's, that's why we doubt that you'll understand we don't use to declare war when crushing bugs.
Since you did not declare war when invade England and destroy almost all our shires, we see no reason why you should receive a different treatment.
Suffer the consequences of your shameful deeds in the past like a man and stop bothering us with your barking.

To James, Duke of Kent,
Chancellor of England,
Mighty James of England, news of your campaign in Aragon has reached the Holy Land.
Hear my plea, resolve your issues with the Aragonese with words, and use your bloodlust to fight the Fatimid Jihad that threatens Christianity itself!
Europe is choking in wars for decades, yet the walls of Holy Jerusalem stand in peril.
I won't spread any moral judgement of your invasion, for I do not know the details of this, all I know is that Christian Europe pleas for peace and tranquility, to heal its wounds.
If any neutral observer is needed to resolve the conflicts with the your nation and the Aragonese, I offer my presence.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth de Lorraine of England and His Grace Chancellor James, the Duke of Kent, being otherwise occupied, the missive from King Borna of Croatia came first to the hands of Bella, the most junior minister in Her Majesty's government.
After perusing the document Bella wrote:
QUOTE: To His Majesty King Borna of Croatia,
England is currently on a mission to collect those debts accrued by Aragorn by their attack and destruction of England's shires of Cambria, Cornwall, Lincoln, Gloucester, Cheshire, Wessex and other English shires in the year of our Lord 1027 and 1028. After having started the destruction of Wessex the armies of Aragorn actually twice more returned to Wessex to complete such destructions as were not accomplished in the first attempt.
All this was done in the absence of England's armies.
The accountants have not yet completed a full reckoning of the damages that were done by Aragorn's attack, but we estimate, that they amount to several thousand silvercoins, minus those monies the English armies have now personally collected from Aragorn villages. A full list of those shires and fiefdoms that were affected is currently being prepared.
Other considerations prevented England from seeing to the matter immediately. But now England has made time to give this debt our full consideration.
As England's most junior minister I am not authorized to open negotiations with other countries. Nevertheless I am sure that an offer of reparation by Aragorn and repayment of the damages done to England would do much to promote peace. Indeed, should Aragorn currently not have this sum on hand, you yourself, King Borna, or any other nations, who take a friendly interest in Aragorn, might consider furthering peace by lending this sum to Aragorn, that Aragorn might repay it's debt to England.
That way peace might be restored and your wedding celebrations might continue unmarred by this quarrel.
I am sure you will see, King Borna, that not demanding repayment of these debts would set a bad precedent and would open England to exploitation by any crook, fraud and thief.
Should you have some offer and suggestion on how this outstanding debt to England might be repaid, that will spare England's knights the trouble of collecting these monies from Aragorn's villages in person, I will be delighted to convey it to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth de Lorraine of England and His Grace Chancellor James the Duke of Kent for their perusal.
Bella, Baroness of North Haven
Junior Minister of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth de Lorraine of England
Hoping she was not taking too much upon herself, Bella sent this missive off to King Borna. Naturally any final decisions would rest with the Queen, but Bella thought that it would be good to appraise all options, that might be available.

If that is indeed your stance then I'm afraid I don't have choice but to do this:
I declare that Croatian armies will defend Aragon lands and participate in offensive actions, but only on soil untill English chanel, we won't attack your island.
Sincerly,
