Sounds like you need a drink. Might I suggest some good old Kentucky Bourbon? Three double shots in a row should do the trick.
Okay maybe not. I'll do some for you. ;)

Currently having a huge mug of tea, that helps, too.

If anyone wonders at my interest in the subject of copyright, I'm not a lawyer, I'm a German website owner. In Germany we have these lovely bureaucratic things created by our extremely detailed laws called Abmahnung, which is a notice any website owner guilty of some infringement can receive and which the recipient has to pay for too.

Having once just narrowly escaped that fate, has made me rather sensitive on the whole subject. Luckily the rest of you, living in other countries, are unlikely to face this particular kind of problem.

We can get 5 years in prison or $500K for a first offense willful copyright violation here in the US. 10 years for a repeated offense and up to a million dollars in fines. It seems like a lot but I read that in Germany the fines are unspecified which is a bit scary.

According to IUSCOMP, German copyright law protects literary, musical and artistic works. A copyright violation for K-H would be someone using the HTML to make an identical game with different or the same graphics. In this case James was quoted in a screenshot word for word and, based on this thread, nothing was changed in his text. He was also given proper credit so as such I do not believe it is a copyright violation.

Usually copyright is only about authenticity and credit, unless it's also about money which, as the saying goes, is "the root of all evil".

Enjoy your tea.
