The pope to the catholic nations - causa Valentin      12.12.2011 08:01:50 --- 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Scribe, please prepare a note. It must be delivered to the leaders of the following nations:
Antioch
Aragon
Bavaria
Burgundy
Castile
Croatia
France
Papal States
Pechenegs
Poland
Saxony
Scotland

It should go to the catholic church leader and the ruling monarch. A copy from the text, but no invitation will go to:
Elizabeth de Lorraine
Macarias
Hyrcan de Silcross

QUOTE:

Dear catholic leaders,
as you may have noticed there has been a coup de etat in the Papal States. The ruler I have elected to guide the mundane ways has been overthrown by Norbert Valentin. Even more, this person is not accepting my god given role, but puts himself as knowing the will of god better than me.
As I know that some of you are not happy with the way I have been elected I will grant you the chance to show that the will of god has been misinterpreted wrongly by me and that there is wisdom in the doings. If there are 6 representatives of your nations that will gather in Rome and agree on a more appropriate candidate until end of 1044, I will accept that this position was not for me and leave the Holy See and go to live as eremit in Jerusalem for the rest of my life. But I also expect that if this cannot be achieved that you help me turning away the usurpor.
You might ask why this note is not delivered to England? They have decided not to accept the pope as the highest clergy member and follow a way they call anglican, therefore there vote is only for an anglican pope and void in our discussion.

With best regards
Urban III, Vicarius Iesu Christi
*signed and sealed*

Another one bites the dust      14.12.2011 01:50:43 --- 5 Months, 1 Week ago
It was a nice summer evening in Rome. The man approaching the city gates attracted quite an audience as he was wearing the papal robes. No one was sure, as the new ruler announced the pope was dead. So was this only another man trying to pretend to be the Vicarius Iesu Christi or was the Camerlengo a liar?

The man looked friendly, but with a strange look. He shook some hands and blessed a little child which immediately started crying. Then he turned to the little church. He bended to one of his followers and said something into his ears. The man stopped, his eyes wide open in shock.

Smiling the man entered the church, he kneeled in front of the altar and started to pray. At the end he asked: "Where will my journey go?" Barely said, he stood up, his hands going to his heart and he fell down. The man accompagning him run forward and checked his heart, but Urban III was dead.

One of the man said: "He knew it upfront, he said to me that he only wonders whether he will be murdered by the Vatican guard like or two last envoys or whether god will allow him to pass by as Mournier did."

He addressed to another monk. "Inform the Camerlengo that NOW is the time for a conclave. If he wants, he can pretend that he only had a vision. The pope is dead!"

To Denis de Fecamp, Granduke of Burgundy

At the court of the Kingdom of Italy, very confused news are arived about to a letter sent by You to all Catholic nations.

For reasons unknown to me, the letter sent to the nearby Kingdom of Italy has never reached its destination.

Please send a new messenger in order to allow me to get to know the precise content of his letter.

Rhodry, King of Italy.
