Introduction: Susan was born of Sarah and Jack Markington. She was brought up learning the ways of the kingdom and who she was to respect. Susan loved her parents and she respected them. One day her father was sent out on a mission for the empire and he never returned. He was killed in battle and she was only 11. At the age of 12 Susan follows in her father's footsteps as she becomes a squire and begins to work her way up to the knights of the round table.

At the age of 16 Susan lost her mother in a deadly house fire. She then found a bunch of stuff in the family safe for her to begin her journey as a Templar Knight. Being recently accepted into the "Order of the Templars", Lady Susan Markington begins her quest to give her family a name and to continue what her father started.

Beginning of RP: It was a warm summer day as Lady Susan left the preceptory after morning sermon. What should I do on my first day as a Templar Knight?....hmm....I wonder if anyone has anything for me to do today? Now who was it that I needed to go talk to? she thought as she wondered around the fountain in the preceptory's courtyard. She heard footsteps approaching her from behind so she froze and prepared to drag her knife (dagger).

Ezio, the marshall of the templar stronghold at Polis saw a young girl with a freshly stiched red cross on her white garments. He had seen her during the initiation ceremony. As he approached her, he saw her nervously touching her dagger.

Greetings young knight. And congratulations on your taking up of the cross. At this very moment, our brothers are fighting the heathen hordes in the holy lands, under our Grand Master, Hyrkan de Silcross! If you are to fully become a templar, you must take your baptism of fire! And you are lucky, a supply vessel is leaving port tomorrow for the lands of the Hospitaller knights. You should board it and meet with the crusading army!

Lady Susan turned around to see the Templar Marshall talking to her. This must be a guard....No wait....he's not a guard....hmm.... she thought as she opened her mouth to speak. "Do ye not know who I am? Incompetent fool." she said as she let go of her dagger. She then bowed and said, "Lady Susan Markington of the Markington clan. My father was a Knight and I want to follow in his footsteps. I accept this mission and I will prove myself." Susan then waited for a reply before leaving to pack what little belongings she had.

Ezio was quite puzzled by the shifting of behaviour in the girl before him. He decided not to take it any further.

Very well young girl. When you are ready, head to the port. Your ship is the Faithfull Wind. I arrange for a squire to accompany you.

Then Ezio walked off, to tend to his other duties.

"Wait....Accompany me to the ship or on the whole voyage?" Susan asked as she stopped in her tracks and looked back at the Marshall. "I'm sorry about earlier....This is all new to me. Doth ye name my fair sir?" She said as she bowed in embarassment.

Well you are a templar knight now Lady Susan. You are entitled to at least one squire. He will accompany you into battle too, if you so wish. My name is Ezio del Pisa. Worry not, i shall appoint a good squire to you, he has almost reached the time of knighthood.

"Than you Ezio. It will be an honor to continue in the Markington clan's name." Susan replied before bowing for a final time. After Ezio left Susan walked once more around the fountain before heading to her temporary chambers. Lady Susan then packed up what little belongings she had before heading to the kitchen for some rations. "Good Morrow Lady Jizel. I'm heading out to assist in the current war and I was wondering if I could get some bread and wine for my voyage?" Susan asked the cook. "Certainly My Lady. I have prepared a couple of boxes for the ship you will be travelling on. The contents include: both red and white wine, water, bread, apples, cookies, ham, turkey, cheese, and a little something special in a separate box for you." Jizel replied.

Susan had seen two of her travelling companions carrying crates towards the ship when she was on her way to the kitchen. "Thank you Lady Jizel. I promise you this food will not go to waste. Here take some money for the supplies you have given us. It's the least I can do to give my gratitude to our great nation's cook." Susan replied before laying down 80 pence and leaving.

As Susan walked from the kitchen she heard birds chirping and she felt a slight wind blowing. As the wind blew her hair back she thought of her parents. After approaching the ship she was supposed to board Susan looked around for the squire that would be accompanying her on the voyage and in battle. Lady Susan made sure she had her knife, shield and sword before walking on board of the ship known as Faithfull Wind.

A young boy, around the age of 13 was standing on the deck, and had just finished unloading his baggage. He turned to Susan, making visible a face that most certainly couldn't belong to a child. Without much ado, he introduced himself: You must be Susan Markington, Ezio's description was rather accurate it seems... My name is Alexander... de Silcross. I will accompany you as your squire.

back to RP: Lady Susan looked at the young squire before listening to his last name. My name is Alexander... de Silcross.....De Silcross....wait....Is this Lord Hyrkan's son?....Why is he a squire? He should be higher rank than me....ah whatever....Let's see what he's got.... she thought as she glanced around at the other crew members. "Tis a great honor to meet ye Squire Alexander. Are ye ready for our quest? We are heading to assist your father in battle. Please be careful in the war. If you would like to spar against me I would be happy to help you learn a few moves that I picked up from my father." Susan said as she felt the same breeze as before. Father.....I am going into this war for our family....I will bring us Honor and uphold the family name....Please guide me in battle and protect us all. she quietly prayed as she closed her eyes and grasped onto the celtic crest hanging on a gold chain with a green stone around her neck.

Susan walked to her room on the ship and laid her stuff on her bed. As she carried her shield and sword with her she glanced at the squire and smiled. "For now let us go and see where they put the food in case we want a late night snack. The cook Jizel said that she packed something special for me in one of the crates. I wonder what it is?" Susan said as she walked to the mess hall.

Hyrkan nodded and followed her. I know perfectly well where we are headed. It is the place where my destiny will be fulfilled after all. I will attain honor and glory fighting the heathen hordes, and who knows, maybe i can ascend to the throne of the kingdom of heaven, Jerusalem. Alexander found himself basking loudly again, i should work on that he thought. The time when he was just a child, able to daydream, was gone without return, and it seemed like he aged a decade within two years...
