Yesterday my cuirass and hauberk[the piece of armor that costs 950silver coins:blush:] was destroyed because I forgot to repair it. My skill with it was 100%.
Today when I bought one again, I see that my skill with it its 30%.
What the hell happened?

You always start with 30 % skill with any new piece of armor.
This is a deliberate feature of the game.
The historical background argument for this feature is that each piece of armor needs to be made (forged or tailored or crafted) especially to fit you and you have to break in the new piece of armor, which might at first be an uncomfortable fit.

This is also why armour isn't inherited...

But I think, that 30% is too small. I can understand, that when you buy entirely new armor (like switching from leather to mail) but when you buy the same one again, you should still know how to use it. In my opinion, your skill with a certain armor should go down by not more, that 20-30%(for example from 100% to 70-80%) instead of going to the basic level of 30%.

Once you have been told, that you must absolutely never ever let your armor get destroyed, by letting it reach a state of repair of zero, you will know to avoid that. So for those who know it's no problem. Those who did not know are hopefully all reading this thread.

Look to the "Help", choose Armor under Trade 2.4. and look to weapon-trade. There´s a part called ATTENTION: If the state of an armor drops to 0, it is destroyed and has to be re-bought.

Yes, I know this, but the skill with the same armour dropped from 100% to 30% in ONE DAY!

As you can see, that type of armour isn't really new to him...

The type of armor is not new, but the armor is new in fact, that's the point I think.
One way or another, there is the same rules for everybody.
