England would like to have lost property returned      12.01.2012 23:53:43 --- 4 Months, 1 Week ago
Petitions:

1. England would like to have it's shires back. Preferably as soon as possible. All English shires or nearly all had fiefdoms built on them. The English knights have practically no income for as long as we have no fiefdoms. That is a daily loss of up to 40 silvercoins per day for each knight, depending on the level of development of the knight's fiefdom.
Plus lost revenues from the shires of up to 18 silvercoins daily for the nation, for those shires without militia. Plus lost income from taxes from the fiefdoms for the nation and 2 silvercoins daily for each fiefdom.

2. All shires were developed with roads, farming and animal husbandry. Which is 450 silvercoins per shire. Some coastal shires had harbours, somewhere between 3 and 5 of our shires had harbours, development costs 150 silvers per port. About 40 % of our shires had militia and extended militia, development costs 550 silvers per shire with both.
Is monetary compensation for the developments possible?

3. Our nation's treasury was emptied. We are missing 2000 silvercoins. If possible, we would like to have that money back.

QUOTE:
Historiography of the Nation "England"
500 silvercoins delivered to army Money of the nation England
500 silvercoins delivered to army Money of the nation England
500 silvercoins delivered to army Money of the nation England
500 silvercoins delivered to army Money of the nation England
New army Money was formed at field 36.

England's missing shires are
Shire 28 (Humberland)
Shire 29 (York)
Shire 30 (Cheshire)
Shire 31 (Wales)
Shire 32 (Gloucester)
Shire 33 (Cambria)
Shire 34 (Wessex)
Shire 35 (Norfolk)
Shire 37 (Winchester)
Shire 38 (Cornwall)
Shire 124 (Flandern)
Shire 125 (Holland)
Shire 126 (Brabant)
Shire 576 (Lincoln)

Most or all of England's shires had fiefdoms on them, 12 of these 14 shires definitely had fiefdoms on them last month, I am unsure about the most recent developments in the other two. We tried to spread our fiefdoms evenly amongst our shires.

Far I infomrd Spain was restored by giving all shires back, but now silver or upgrades of shires.

So a definite YES on returning the shires.
Returning the upgrades certainly will cause a lot effort, so it will certainly be no possible.
I am no certain if spanish treasury at that time was documented like here, so it might be an idea to grant it back too.
Still on both points I'd agree on restoring.

Instead of returning the upgrades ready built, if this would be too much programming effort, the alternative possibility would be to return the money for the upgrades, then we could build the upgrades back ourselves in 1-2 weeks.

He is talking nonsense. Spain appointed a new chancellor who did it. In England's case it was a hacking action and in my opinion it's the Admin. duty to restore the situation, not for the Council of Knights.
It's not our fault England was hacked and definitely I want my war horse and my gear (6000 silvers) back.

Well, someone must have hacked your password James, or you have given it away, so Greg better think twice before writing about nonsens or other things (and yes I also mention the message to Jata).

In german law it needed to be proven if you acted careless with your password, which is more or less also mentioned in Terms of use of KH:

So it is part of the players duty to take care of his login data!

Yes, yes, but this is supposed to be a game, this is supposed to be fun. And since any "material" damages done are after all virtual, doing something about such occurances should be much easier than in RL.

In light of all the precedents of what happened in cases of other nations in the past that are now getting mentioned and that I did not pay much attention to in the past (I have not done a lot of reading of old threads so far and was not paying much attention to the public boards 3 months ago yet), I have now started digging up old threads relevant to the subject.

I must say I think the community and or the council took an appallingly uncaring attitude towards some cases in the past.

I would like the KH community in general and the council in particular to give some thought to discontinuing unfortunate traditions and to think about establishing general guidelines about how to more productively and fairly deal with any such cases that might arise in future.

I thought the recent case on RH of restoring the property accidentally lost by the Sicilians an excellent example of how problems caused by accidents, glitches and other occurences not meant to be part of the game can be resolved nicely. http://ritterheere.de/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,181/func,view/catid,51/id,705089/#705089

Since further discussions on this subject are likely to open whole new cans of worms, I will move my further thoughts on the subject to the players ask players board.

vom Greifenstein, can you read? Then read where i posted the shires was abandoned after my account leave it the nation. How do you explain that, smart guy?

Read where I says that I had a 7 digit alphanumeric password, secure enough and I did not give away my account or my password ever. Also it's for the Admin to secure the game against hackers. Use your slow mind in an intensive way before accusing me, because the game is very strict about defamation, not to mention german law.

About Jata and other persons putting together the nations who was disbanded because they accept a new king with England who got hacked, there is nothing to comment. The intelligence of an ant works better.
I despise such persons using an unfortunate hacking event to take advantage in the game.

Since England was hacked, it's not for the CoK to decide, but for the Admin to restore the situation previously to the hacking attempt!

I believe the same "slow mind" you're speaking of was in fact trying to help you by starting that petition.

You do have a useless talent for hanging on to completely irrelevant details James. Not to mention that you seem to insult a different person in each of your posts. If I were an admin I would have banned you permanently a long time ago for so many reasons, not the least of which is using vulgar high-school language.

And btw if I or other Romanian players were hackers we would have made sure you don't access your account anymore either. Perhaps you should think on that before you make unfounded accusations.

And don't forget to take your anti-paranoia medication.

Why take it easy

James Alar is right, yea you lost as you said 6k silver worth gear + warhorse but i dont think it gives you right to insult other players no matter how frustrated you are...

About subject:

If James's acc has indeed been hacked and with it England, I think it would be nice of admins to restore everything back, and it should be their TOP PRIORITY

Why everybody ignore the fact it wasn't James account who abandon the shires? The Nations history who keeps the records for all the events as they were produced in their succession clearly shows James account was out of the nation already when the shires was abandoned.

Hoern, I'm not happy with the explanation you gave, maybe you'll have a better one or admit that England was hacked indeed and restore the things as it should.

Sorry I've been unresponsive; in RL I have been trying all week to bring a rolling crisis under control (and it is now under control, though the outcome is not entirely satisfactory).

The critical difference is that the England situation has been caused by an action that is wholly outside the game and probably illegal (i.e. compromising a player's account) whereas the previous incidents have only involved nasty actions by people with no real interest in playing the game.

Therefore, England should be restored to the maximum extent possible.

The most important act of restoration is to enable the English knights to resume their fiefdoms for free. This includes James, who (as it currently stands) would have to pay for his fiefdom once he is readmitted to the nation. It is known from the resolution of the Spanish matter that it is possible for Hoern to alter the database so that Knights can resume their fiefdoms for free. James can also be provided with enough silver to purchase new armour and horse: the recovery after the "lost silver overnight" incident demonstrates this is technically possible. And any other restorative actions that are technically feasible should be undertaken.

And the KH community should be united in its condemnation of the act that has led to this; this act represents a new low, even worse the preceding problems.
