Susan took her small box from the food crate and opened it. Inside was a ring with an emerald stone embedded in the middle. "This must have been my father's ring. I've been looking for it for awhile now. At last I can rest assured that my parents are with me in spirit." Lady Susan said as she put the ring on the necklace that held the cross. She pocketed the box and left the room to go on deck and look around.

As they arrived at the new port in Lebanon a few days later Lady Susan gathered her stuff and followed Alexander to their next destination. "Lady Susan. How nice of you to make it here safely. Sadly the war here has ended and the troops have moved onto Jerusalem. It is a four day walk so rest in the next town before joining the war. Make sure your supplies are ready before you leave Nawa. Good Luck to you both." A wounded knight known as Jason said before limping back to the infirmary. "Thank you Lord Jason. We will join the army as soon as we can. You ready Alexander? Come on let's get going." Lady Susan said as she began walking towards Jerusalem. Why would Lord Hyrkan leave Jason behind? Was it to relay the message or to make sure we don't lose our territory....hmm.... she thought as she walked with her sword sheathed on her left hip and her shield on her back.

The party had arrived at Jerusalem to see the templar banners already waving at the city walls.
We were too late. Alexander shuddered. All we can do is follow the main army. he said as he turned to Susan.
I spoke with some traders, they said the armies were headed towards the Hospitaller castle. I suggest we tread that way fast.

Right. Let's go. Susan said as she started walking towards the Hospitaller. I hope we aren't too late....I want to prove that I deserve to be a knight or at least a Hospitaller..... she thought as she walked. She looked around at the landscape as they walked. A few birds were chirping in a nearby tree and a rabbit was hopping along next to her. A bunny?......Why is it following us? she thought as she glanced at Alexander.

This would make for an excellent meal my lady. Alexander said as he readied his bow.

"No killing the bunny! It's probably hurt or lost." Susan said as she stopped to examine the rabbit. It was looking at her sadly as it shivered scared of death. "Don't worry little bunny. I won't let him hurt you. Are you lost?" Lady Susan said soothingly to the rabbit. The rabbit blinked before sniffing for a carrot in Lady Susan's bag. Susan took the carrot out of her bag and picked up the rabbit cradling it like a baby. She then looked at Alexander and said "Put that away! You're scaring it. The bunny is just hungry and look it has a note." Susan took the note from around the rabbit's right foot and handed it to Alexander. She then focused on the bunny as she continued to walk towards the castle which was about a half mile from where they were.

Well, can you read it? Alexander said as he sheathed his bow.

Lady Susan & Lord Alexander,

I am pleased to announce that we have won our first war. Meet us at the Syrian castle for the next war. Rest up at the Hospitaller and hurry to the castle. We have a few minor injured knights that will be joining you on your voyage to the castle.

"Okay, so I wonder who the three knights are that will be joining us?" she asked Alexander before looking up to see that they were about to walk into the Hospitaller door. "STOP! We almost hit the door...I guess we were closer than we expected. Aaw....the bunny fell asleep." Susan said as she threw her left arm out to stop Alexander from hitting the door before looking at the bunny asleep in her right.

Lady Susan! Lord Alexander! How great it is to see you both. The others just left and you can still catch up to them if you hurry. They are headed to uh, why do you have a rabbit my lady? Brad asked as he looked at the bunny. It brought the note from Lord Hyrkan to us on our way here. You want it back? If not then leave it alone. I actually want to make it my pet....but I don't really know if I'm allowed to. Haha! Let's go Alexander....We need to rest here unless you really want to catch up to the others. Susan said to Brad as she looked from him to Alexander before feeling the bunny twitch in her arms. She looked down at the bunny before placing it in her bag and watching it stick it's head out at her. She giggled as she pet her new friend.

Meanwhile on the horizon heading towards the port for their next destination....

The Army had just left Ephesos as they headed for Polis while Susan and Alexander try to keep up to the Army that is 6 days ahead of them as they stop in Ephesos before boarding a ship the next day to head towards Crete. Once at Crete they would rest again before continuing onto Polis where they began their adventure.

Where are we headed to My Lady? Brad asked.

I guess we are going back to where we started which is Polis? Why are we running around in circles? This whole trip has been nothing but a wild goose chase! Susan said angrily as she slashed at a nearby tree with her sword to relieve her anger.

Her rabbit looked up at her a little scared. As she sheathed her sword and picked up her bunny she continued to walk until they arrived in a tavern in Ephesos.
